Keeping treestand dry and secure in truck bed.
Ive tried everything to keep my climber, which I keep in the bed of my truck all season, from getting soaked when it rains. Ive wrapped it in plastic tarps, but it winds up blowing away. Ive put it in large garbage pails but it rolls & slides around. I cant find a plastic bin or a tool box big enough for it, and I hate toneu covers and caps. does anyone know of a container big enough that will fit nicely in a tuck bed?

I would have liked to have helped, but I needed more info to gather a useful reply.
What brand and model is the stand? Helps so can know the size. A pic would help.
Now I'm assuming you don't mind the metal of the stand getting wet, because that's what hunting is, so I'm thinking you are talking about the seat of the stand?

Both my climbers are around 20" wide, 30"long and 12" high. I would like a container that the whole stand fits in,and mabye some clothes and other gear ,and preferable be lockable so I can leave it in there. I may be wrong but I havent seen any truck tool boxes that big ,so Im thinking of making one out water resistant plywood. Wish I could buy one though, since I really dont have time to make one now.

My stand is something that I use on a daily basis, so its a PITA to bring it inside every time it rains. I dont like to put it in the cab of the truck, cause I dont want it to pick up dust particles and unatural scents, just like my hunting clothes, and I dont have an xtended cab anyway. Im sure Im not the only hunter w/ this dilema, just thought Id ask what others do.

Sounds like you have tried most everything sensible.About all I can suggest is to get a waterproof seat pad and not worry about the stands seat getting wet.Either that or just get some material at the lumber yard and build a case for it.

I don't knoooow. ?? Since post #1 I would have had plenty of time to make me a nice custom box from plywood, 2"x2"s, screws and Gorilla wood glue, then waterproof it with polyurethane or paint.
