What's the story behind you encountering this buck? Roadkill? LOL!

ha na not roadkill opening day of rifle season in ks he was killed about 100 yards from the buck in my avatar. hunting on a creek bank, he came out with 4 does and started ripping a tree apart. basically thats all she wrote he was only out for about 30 seconds before i shot. then he went back down into the creek bottom where i couldnt see him anymore. so i give him about 15 mins, i knew he was hit hard and started my search, followed blood to the creek and saw about 3 inches of main beam stickin out of water, died in the creek

Thats a really nice buck! Lots of mass and those brow tines are great. You dont see many brow tines like that. Congratulations!!

Beautiful buck. Doesn't it always seem like if there's some sort of water around, the deer will run right to it and die there?
