Deer hunting advice needed for MA, NH, or VT

My father (from Europe) is an avid hunter and would like to visit me this fall. I would like to organize a small hunting trip for him in MA, NH, or VT but I am totally lost because of all the options. Does anybody have some advice on how to proceed? The thing is that he is really into smaller game (the equivalent of Whitetail deer), so no bears or moose.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Deer hunting advice needed for MA, NH, or VT

I may be able to help a little... I just moved to Ct. and am hunting this state for the first time this year. You need to first select a state to hunt... then contact the State DEP or whatever dept. handles their hunting regulations. Then get a map and search for an area to hunt in ie. hunting private or public land. I have to hunt state land so I picked a SF near me and started obtaining topo maps of the area and started scouting this area. If you don' t have time for all that it' ll be kinda hunting blind in a new area.... but hey, at least your spending time with the people that count!!!:D Good luck and good hunting!!!
