Tower Blind... Done!

My brother and I put this up with a little bit of help from my dad. I cant wait to hunt out of this bad boy! How would you suggest mowing this field if I cant afford a brush hog? It is kind of a rough bumpy field.

What do you guys think?

The windows swing down, except for the back window, which is above the door... The door opens outward and to the side.

I would spray it, wait a week or so and plant some Buck Forage Oats.

Thanks for the pics bowhunter... Timber cruiser.. What should I spray it with and how? Isnt to late in the season to plant a food plot?

You could simply spray it with Krylon in similar colors to your surroundings. But I would wait till the end of the season. The smell of that stuff might linger long into season.

Why mow it at all? There's plenty of nice free forage in those pics.

bigwhitetailbuck 09-09-2009 10:25 AM

elgallo.. I was talking about spray for the field lol.
Kevin, I want to mow the field because im worried that if I dont its going to grow in to be really thick brush. Also, the stuff is really tall so it is hard to get clear shots out of it. I think it would look really good if I mowed it. I dont have access to any good equipment. Im thinking a push mower rigged with trailer wheels or something in that area. I know it would take a long time to mow but well see.

Congrats on the shootin' hse and good luck this season out of it.

My suggestion for the fielf would be to RENT a good mower. You wil find that if you cant afford to buy the equipment you need, you can probably rent it for next to nothing and get whatever you want done. Even better, ask one of the local farmers what his price would be to mow the field for ya.
