This is what I was thinking. What makes you think it is the same deer? Definately from the same gene pool but not sure if it is the same deer.

Also, take a look at the throat patch. It is grey last year but white this year.

Regardless,nice deer.

The first two pics are from this year. The last two are from last year.

At work LOL... I never hunted that stand last year. My father-in-law wanted to shoot a couple does for the frezzer and I said he could hang a stand there. I tagged out on a 148" 10pt 250yds away from this camera two days later.

I'm 99.9% sure this is the same buck. Look at pic 2 & 3, almost identical except for the kicker off the G2 switching sides. Along with age comes junk usually. That would explain the split brow. The mainframe of a very mature buck usually will not change from year to year. They might add on "extra" points, but when they hit 4 - 5-1/2 what you see going vertical won't change.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Here's a couple more pics

Last year:

He LOST a kicker on 1 side but gained it on the other. That is what I am seeing.Deer don't normally do that,do they? They will gain junk but not lose it will they?

I have seen 2 deer running together with identical 120"-130" racks. If these deer were seen separately,by the same person at 2 different times, they would be convinced they were seeing the same deer.

I just don't see enough evidence to say for sure this is the same deer.Yes,these pics are very similar and the main frame definately looks to be the same deer but I see where it could be a different deer as well. You have seen more pics of it/them.There may be other features but I can't find them.I will defur to your experience with him.

Either way, you are definately on some great deer.

Good luck with him/it.

TFOX, I hope I'm wrong and your right. That would be fabulous if there were two..I searched for many hours this spring for the sheds from last year, but came up short.

I'd put him around 150 as well. He's a great looking buck! Good luck getting an opportunity at him this season.
