Lots of American made hunting products out there. You just have to check around. By the way they have been hauling South American cattle into the U.S. for several years. I would guarantee you have been eating some of it.

Seriously though, I bought the Tundra because it's a great truck. Being that it's more made in America than a Chevy or a Ford was just a plus for me.

Thats been part of the American problem for the last 50 years. We used to be proud to produce things here and now we are sacrificing quality products for more money. When I have a company I will much rather pay more for my products to be built here in the US and not make much money my first 5 years then have my business in China or South America.
Unless we change this mentality America will not be able to be the leader of the business world like it once used to

I know there are a lot of isolationist/protectionists out there that would love to build an economic bubble around the US and try to be totally self-sufficient, but that's just going hurt us more than it'll help. Time to face the reality of global competition.

This country is not, never has been, and never will be 100% self sufficient. Get over it. We've been part of the global economy since the first products made here were exported, and the first goods from elsewhere imported, that hasn't changed in 400 years and never will. There also seems to be the distorted view that our economy is based solely on manufactured goods, which is false, if it were true this country would've gone under decades ago.

Some of the same "Buy American" people out there are also "Free Market" people. Well, foreign companies decided to step up and compete. Instead of complaining, American companies should be more competitive. Sorry if that ruffles some feathers but it's the truth. You sit on your couch long enough and the world will pass you by.

A large number of products that are used every day in our hunting are made in the USA with pride. I try to but american made products if their available. I was talking to the owner of Climb Paws Tree steps Rodney Merritt he makes his products in the State of Maine with local labor. He keeps his quaility high and his prices reasonable.

buying a tundra or any foriegn auto is the worst thing you could do. all the profits go over seas. you are screwing your country again.
the tundra is not any better built then the american trucks, i know plenty of people that drive them and if you use them they brake ,just like anything else. and motor for motor most american vehicles are getting as good ,if not better fuel mileage. its bull**** and great avertisment by foriegn companies and americans are falling for it.
the government just screwed us again with the 4500.00 for clunkers, that was done to help the big3 and foriegn car companies shouldn't have been encluded.
i'd like to know just whats wrong with me buying a truck from GM when actually i own part of the company, and so do you. oh,2 weeks ago i did just that . i bought a new gmc fullsize truck.

And what about the American Toyota workers building cars and trucks in Alabama, Texas, West Virginia, Kentucky and Indiana. Screw those guys, huh? I guess cause they're not lazy, overpaid, UAW parasites they can just go to he!!, right? The way I see it, Toyota and most other foreign car companies (Kia/Hyundai, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Honda, BMW and Mercedes all have plants in the US that I know of) have made considerable investments in the US workforce. They are building plants here when the Big 3 are closing their plants and sending them to Mexico.
Enjoy your truck.
