Score this buck please last year i killed a similar buck that scored 161 B&C You think this one has the potential?

Hunting Kuk 08-20-2009 01:53 PM

I aint great at scoring but I am guessen 135-140 I dont think he is quite 150

superstrutter 08-20-2009 02:08 PM

Beautiful 8 point. He wouldn't have any more potential if he walked by me.

n2huntn42 08-20-2009 02:11 PM

yes it is im hoping i can catch him with my compound because its going to be rough getting him out until rut which starts a little late here in alabama

Tiereta 08-20-2009 02:41 PM

I scored him on the B&C web site and came up with 132. Looks like he's still in velvet so he will lose some mass, I say he will likely go in the lower 140's by the season. If you think he will survive let him walk, he will be a massive buck next year.

crokit 08-20-2009 03:25 PM

130 max., probably a bit less. Nice buck!

WIbuckchaser 08-20-2009 05:22 PM

I'm guessing around 135. I'd take him.

BarnesX.308 08-20-2009 05:28 PM

I'm thinking 140-150. If he's that big as a 4X4, I don't think he'll be a 4X4 at full potential. Probably a huge 8 with stickers and a drop or some other non-typical stuff.

He could go 160 in a year or two. Depends how much trash he grows as to whether he nets that high.

Hunt4Life23 08-22-2009 08:04 AM

Id say right around 135, beautiful 8 point

glew22 08-22-2009 09:03 AM

Definitely a 140 class whitetail....I highly doubt he will make it into the 150s. What state are you in, that could have a very big effect on the way people are judging him. A 150" florida buck looks ALOT bigger than a 150" iowa buck b/c his body is so much smaller. Regardless, this is an exceptional 8pt and I think he is relatively young as well. His neck is that of a classic 3.5yr old and I am certain he is not yet mature.

I'm with ya!!

He is a very nice 8 ptr. however it takes a lot of antler to go over 130, This buck is in velvet, so loss of mass, The main beams are nice but again 8 pt. so not real long, tines are good but again only 8 pts. A buck like that should have 10 or more pts,so I don't think it ever will hit 150 so shoot em.

140-150 I say too, awesome congruency

J Pike 08-22-2009 01:15 PM

I agree with the guys that said 130"". There is no way that buck scores more than 130 when he sheds his velvet.
Still avery nice buck though!! Pike

bush_pig 08-22-2009 07:04 PM

couple of nice bucks

allmightyhunter13 08-22-2009 07:44 PM

great looking deer!

rh160kid 08-22-2009 10:25 PM

This deer is goin to need at least another year to get to the 160 class. From those pics im guessing that deer is 130 at best. nice buck nonetheless. no shame in takin that one!!

Redclub 08-23-2009 03:00 AM

Looks at it this way
Spread 18"
beams 21x2=42"
tines 6",20",16"
mass 32"

So a little over 130

140 max once velvet is gone, if you think he is in survivable area for a couple of seasons..."Let him grow" he has very nice symmetry, appears to be young; looking at body size....

Bowhunter2001 08-24-2009 09:59 AM

Between 120 and 130.

krub6b 08-24-2009 10:33 AM

I'd call him 140 and diner

Hawkeye23 08-24-2009 05:57 PM

I'd have to say 125 to 130's nice buck. I wouldn't think twice about whackin em

whtail crazy 08-25-2009 01:37 AM

i would have to say around 125 great bow kill for alabama unless you really got some jam up place you cant pass on bucks like that in alabama especially with a bow

badassbowhunter 08-25-2009 01:53 PM

130inch 8 point

mlo31351270 08-25-2009 03:29 PM
