Default What's This Guy's Potential?

Got pictures of him in late June. Haven't seen him since. But I figure he has a good couple of months left to grow. Note the split brow tine forming. Never shot a deer with any non-typical points before.

Depends on the property. On private land a 150 inch 10 pointer is a real possibility. Public land, 110-120" is a real nice buck.

I mostly hunt upstate and this buck is in a suburban woodlot in the SE of the state. Biggest one I heard of in my home town was a 198" that was taken in 2004. It was in NA Whitetail magazine. The Chris Jones buck.

The buck in this picture is in woods that isn't hunted. Well, a few guys hunt it every now and then but it's not really open to hunting. If he doesn't get hit by a car, he has a real chance to hit 5,6,7+ years old.

How wide do you think he is at least 22 ,that would be my guess. But if you think he'll make this hunting season I would let him grow another year

Barnes nice buck but he only had about 3 weeks left to grow when the pic was taken.
Very nice PA. buck!! Also he is going to have about 18.5-19 inch inside spread.
He is definately a shooter in my book for PA. Pike

I'm thinking this buck is maybe 3 years old. With any luck, I take my buck at the cabin upstate. If I see him. I think I'd take him. However, I think he'll be a dandy at 4.5 - 5.5 years old. I can see him pushing 150" as a 5 year old.

I found a 5 point shed 3 years ago on the same propery that would have gone about 130" when I found it. Where's that guy now?
