Most people will probably say a midwestern state, with alot of B&C and P&Y entries, but to me ,the best states to hunt deer ,are the ones w/ liberal bag limits ,long seasons, and few annoying weapons restrictions like no scopes on muzzleloaders or no CF rifles. I dont care if theres a wopper behind every tree, I just wanna have fun and fill the freezer, and mabye get a decent rack, w/ the weapon of my choice ,and plenty of time to do it.

Thats a "loaded" question, you will need to be more specific. Are you looking for the largest, the most quanity, the easiest to hunt/ least pressure, biggest racks, best tasting or most opportunity ie: public land, multiple tags, any impliment. I like Kansas but you are limited to 1 buck per year and you have to choose one impliment to hunt with, I like the bow.

PA has the most hunters, but I would never say it's the best for hunting. That's why so many of us leave the state if we really want to bag a monster! Indiana seems to be an up-and-coming whitetail hot spot, as are Ohio and Kentucky.
