CORNouflage

Has anyone ever tried this yet? I wonder if it works. http://www.cornouflage.com/index.php

hossdaniels 08-04-2009 10:33 AM

It usually takes a 4-5 days for them to start coming to the real thing. Put me down as very skeptical.

bryant1 08-04-2009 10:55 AM

LOL clever inventor, but I will stick to the real thing.

superstrutter 08-04-2009 10:58 AM

Good grief. People will do anything to make an extra buck or two.

Kybuckhunter 08-04-2009 01:15 PM

Aren't these the same people that make fake dog crap and rubber vomit.....

I remember a few years ago, maybe still can, buy plastic corn on the cob from Cabelas.

Beezer 08-04-2009 02:24 PM

Maybe birds, but I think deer would actually need to smell it before they'd be fooled.

Magic 08-04-2009 03:16 PM

I don't use the real stuff. No way would the deer I hunt even know what a pile of corn looked like. Much less fake corn.

I think that "he who buys" that is as smart as "he who invented" it think that "he who eats" it is.......

Iowabucks44 08-04-2009 06:22 PM

If they could see it from a distance, and not be downwind of it, they may come in. But once they knew it wasn't real, they would be gone.

n.florida hunter 08-04-2009 06:41 PM

Thats one of the craziest things Ive seen in a while. The bad thing is that people will buy it.

sixgunluvr 08-04-2009 06:51 PM

fake corn

I wonder if this is considered baiting? Entrapment? wonder what DNR regs say about using "fake" corn or apples.

An extra "buck" or two? :woot:

Seriously, I wonder if this would be considered baiting or using a decoy by fish and game. That would make all the difference to me. Can't bait.

In my state the "bait" has to be something intentionally placed for the animal to consume, so it would have to be something edible.

In a state where baiting is common this might work on sight, but I've rarely seen grain spills while hunting fields here, so I have my doubts unless it was corn scented.

tschaef 08-05-2009 03:03 AM

I would'nt buy it.
As far as baiting goes, we can do it for deer in Ontario but not for ducks, I remember I guy got charged not long ago for painting a bunch of plastic water bottles yellow and had them floating around his duck blind so it doesn't have to be edible up here.

I have a feeding doe decoy that would look good over that!

Haha! No kidding! It might work better as a welcome mat.

browningbolt 08-05-2009 12:55 PM

Might work for duck and goose hunting.Deer hunting i doubt it.

salukipv1 08-05-2009 01:55 PM

hope he didn't spend too much on this idea...

next will be corn scent spray to spray it with.....or corn flavoring...or maybe even better make some feed that looks and taste like corn....but isnt corn...haha.

gregrn43 08-06-2009 01:05 AM

Save your money

Charlie P 08-06-2009 04:28 AM

some will buy it because there is one born every minute.

RyanJ17059 08-06-2009 04:52 AM

Ok, I can see maybe... MAYBE... it working for ducks and geese, since they would be spotting the "corn" from a distance. But for deer or turkey? Not a chance.

crenshaw 08-06-2009 05:13 AM

$38.95 before s&h, thats pricey for photo i can take then take to kinkos and have blown up and laminated. Not to mention i dont see deer really going for it considering there is no smell to it. I'll stick to good scouting and being scent minded and paitent.

Canuck33 08-06-2009 06:20 AM

absolutly rediculous, can't believe someone would carry that into the field

FlDeerman 08-06-2009 10:50 AM

38.95 you've got to be kidding.

superstrutter 08-06-2009 02:10 PM

I went and bought three of them Tuesday, put them out yesterday, and checked them today. The deer had already eaten them up. I think all of you should go buy as many as possible. :rolleye0011:

texas8point 08-07-2009 06:21 AM

Poor bastards can't even get real corn out of the deal.........If Im gonna shoot a big buck Im at least gonna feed him real corn before I kill him ! LOL

boonecountybowhunter 08-09-2009 04:35 AM

No thank you

olsplittoe 08-09-2009 01:46 PM
