I had seen some disagreement over what amount is too much to pay for a club or lease. I would be interested in hearing what others pay and what you get for your hard earned $(acres, number of members, QDM, lodging....)

You can make multiple selections, there has to be a few others like me that are in more than one club.

I pay 400 for a club in Caroline County Virginia. We have 2500 acres and 40 members. This is dog club so if its brown, then its down. Can ride 4-wheelers in the off season and target shoot. Not much chance for big ones, but we do shoot a couple each year. I try to find small tracts of urban land to get a decent chance at a really big one.

$1000 a year for a 2200 acre piece of swamp land. It's owned by a logging company but we have free reign of the property. Plenty of hogs, deer and turkey. I go out there every week just to feed the animals or go shooting as we also have a 200 yard range. To me it's more than worth the cost.

125$ w/ 5 work hours ,200$ w/out. over a thousand members. I just use the trap & rifle range, but the club owns thousands of acres north of west point military academy. That place is so rugged youd swear you were in idaho ,not many people hunt there.

Own my own and pay 180.00 a month for 14 years and 104 acres. Has a 30 foot camper, 24 x 40 1 year old cabin, free natural gas for utilities, 3 auto feeders and five 2 acre food plots. Estimated 70 deer roam thru and live on or nearby. lots of turkey ,some bear and tons of yotes and copperheads.

I pay $400, we have a little over 600 acres with 200 being corn or soy beans. The remaining is a tree farm that has all been clear cut over the past 6 years. So we have another 40 years of growth before timbering again. 14 members, with 8 of them only hunting the 1 week of shotgun in november. We do QDM, has to be past the ears to shoot. Last year 8 quality bucks were harvested and 22 antlerless (mostly does but a few button bucks). The farm recieves severe deer damage tags due to the crop damage and over population, so to make the farmer happy as many antlerless deer are harvested as possible.

Family hunt club with 3200 ac leased 30 members dues $400 a year. Everyone usually harvest deer 4 total 2 bucks 2 does.

i pay $800.00 a year for the lease with a total of 7 members on 500+ acres. this dollar amount does not include the money spent on food plots (seed and maintainance), feeders (protein pellets and batteries), gas for tractors and vehicles. the above cost also does not reflect the $480.00 a year it cost me to leave my camper trailer at the camp ground. i figure i am spending around $1,740.00 for the lease, camp ground and my feeding program (plots and feeders). then it cost me approximately $150.00 in gas for my truck round trip to my lease. in the off season i drive to my lease atleast once a month which comes to approximately $1,050.00 in gas. during hunting season i go up twice a month which is approximately $1,200.00 in gas. then there is my non resident hunting license which is approximately $300.00. so i figure my out of state Georgia lease costs me approximately $4,290.00 a year.

this does not even include my resident hunting within my home state.

$660 for 38,000 acres w/300 members. It's primarily a doghunting club, so we shoot all bucks with 2 points on 1 side and receive doe tags. Stillhunting is allowed, but a majority of the members don't. Deer populations have made a large comeback in the area from the 70s/80s, and the populations are some of the highest in the state(if not highest?). A healthy population of hogs and turkeys are on the land too. We have free reign to train dogs, fish, ride 4 wheelers, etc. all year long also. I love hunting with my friends and family, so it is well worth the membership. I also have 600 family owned acres of land to hunt.

BUCKMARK

We lease 160 acres at $2500 per year. 5 of us hunt, so it is $500 a year. We have year round rights to what ever we wish to hunt. Of the 160, about 70 of it it woods ane the rest was corn last year.
