Default My 2008 Bow Buck

After nearly 20 years away from bowhunting, I decided to pick it up this past year. I decide to go out on election day (a day that will forever live in infamy) basicaaly to do some gun season scouting. As I climb into my stand, I notice a large dark shape in the field about 200 yards off. Through my feild glasses I could tell it was a buck but nothing else. He proceeds right down infront of me. At 30 yards it is still to dark to even tell anything about the rack. He passes by and I say oh well. As day light cracks I notice he has circled behind be a few hundred yards and pics up on my drag line. Follows it nose to the ground for a 25 yard BS shot. I watched him run off with the arrow sticking out his side. 75 yards later he stops in a bean field and drops over dead. This east central Indiana buck weighed 175 lbs and scored (unofficial) 124 inches. Gonna miss PY but my best deer to date. Wife even likes how it looks in the house.

Very nice! I think it looks great in the house as well. What county did you take him in? I hunt in Monroe county. Indiana does indeed have some nice sized deer.
