It,s not a nice problem for us Farmers.I seen a study done once that had a section of a alfalfa field sectioned off.It was a 6ft by 6ft square section in a huge open field. The section was way out in the middle. The section had hay growin out of the top of the fence enclosure and the whole field was half the size of the section in height. That,s how much the Deer grazed the field. This was a university study.

Default Hunting Lease

If it's population control you are looking at, then your best bet is to shoot as many hinds as you can during deer season. However, if you don't think that enough will be shot between your friends and your family, you could sell a hunting lease to your land. Some sites, you can sell day leases or if you can find management-minded hunters, sell a lease for the whole season. It all depends on your cull targets.

WE don't have "hinds" in the US we also have laws on hunting and killing deer because in the US wild deer belong to the state, not the landowner.

Hinds: British use that word for does.

Nothing the poster suggests is necessarily going to violate game laws, although it does sound more European in practice, particularly in the image of a Scottish game preserve.

folks this is a thread started in 2009, the OP hasn't been on the site since 2003
, so nothing added here is helping them any more!
and why these old thread should be closed/locked, IMO!

if folks want to talk about the topic, please maybe just start a new thread
this way a new and current info can be added to help the person with questions on topic
you can always add the link to this one if you feel needed !~

just a thought no hate or bash here!
