I always liked the buck 110 but found the Cabelas Alaskan guide series made by Buck a better knife. Great edge that stays sharp and is easy to sharpen.

Mine is a Buck Special 119 fixed blade my brother gave me two Christmas' ago, and I also carry my Browning Kodiak 600 folding knife that my wife gave me for our first Christmas together. Both are very handy to have in the field.

The Buck is sharp enough to shave with.

Knives of Alaska Cub Bear with Suregrip handle. Fine little knife that holds an edge. Regular price from KOA is $55. I sell them for $45. You can clean a deer with it then cut your steak at dinner. For the money you can't beat it. Comes with a nice leather sheath.

I have many knives also, large and small. This is my favorite and the one I use most.

The Cub Bear
The Cub Bear Caping Knife is lightweight and designed for fine detail work. Field-tested alongside the Skinner/Cleavers in the Alaskan bush, the Cub Bear's overall length is 6-1/2" with a cutting edge of 2-3/4". This blade is ideal for the fine caping work around a trophy's eyes, ears, and nose. The deep choils in front of the handle for thumb and index finger provide excellent control for close work

I love using my Kershaw Scallion. It's super sharp and works great for all of my outdoor needs. It's not too small and not too big so it fits anywhere easily.

You know the more that I think about it, it seems like every year or so I have a new favorite. The one knife thats stood the test of time is the Buck 102 Woodsman that I received as a gift when I was 12 back in 1973. I might have a new knife to wear on my belt but that same buck is allways in my pack or close by. They call it a fish and small game blade, but at 4" I find it perfect for boneing a deer.
