I used to prefer Nikons, but after I bought my Zeiss, I'm a convert to German optics. My Conquest is by far the best scope I own and worth every penny. If I had the cash, I'd convert every rifle I own to Zeiss.

Iron Sights! Not enough info.

I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x50 on my .270. It's good to go and any deer within 300 yards will be very very dead.

If you can afford a VX3 then you should look at the zeiss conquest! I own both and my choice/preference the conquest.[8D]

Yep. I looked at the VX-3 and compared it to the Zeiss when I was scope shopping for my last rifle, and the Zeiss is better glass for the money. I know there are a lot of die-hard Leupold fans out there who will think that sacrilege, but it's just the honest truth. The VX-3 is a good scope, no doubt, but they aren't worth what they want for them when there are better scopes at the same price point like the Zeiss Conquest line.

Super Magnum Tell your friend to hold onto that one. My friend has the same issue off his 30 -06. I've blown out both luepolds I own, v2 3x9x40 and v3 3.5x10x40. Not sure why, one is on my weatherby 300 and the other on my tc endeavor .50 call. I can say I don't think I will be buying another leuplod soon.
