Trophy rock

Is trophy rock considered bait. Do you think trophy rock would still attract deer even thoigh there is corn and hay field around

RE: Trophy rock

I personally dont consider it baiting, but it probably is considered among others. I know some states dont allow using minerals for the deer so that would be another issue.

Deer usually hit the minerals hard during the summer months when the does are working hard to feed their fawns and bucks are growing those antlers. The usage usually slips up as fall and winter come through, they still use them just not as often. As far as them being attracted to it despite your corn and hay, I have no idea. If the deer need minerals, they will come. If not they wont.
