I found my 1st ever shed a couple weeks ago! 3 pts on one side. Any chance this is this deers shed? The trail cam pic was taken less than 100 yds from where I found the shed. I don't know how much growth the trail cam buck would of had, but its the same side with 3 pts no browtine.

I don't think it is the same deer because the shed you found appears to wrap around more to the front. With that being said it is really hard to tell when your pic of the deer is when he is in velvet and the angle isn't that good for comparison.

You might want to go try it out on the "Test Posts" forum at the bottom of the page that lists all of the forums. I had to do that when I first started before I got it figured out.

You would have to wait until the deer finishes growing his horns to try and match it. Judging the age of the deer it should be awful close unless it gets injured some how causing the antlers to be altered. Let us know.

what age do you put that deer at? And what should the shed deer look like this year? btw these are upstate ny near VT border

I'd put that deer at 2 at the most.

I'd say there is a good chance that is the same deer although alotof 1.5 year olds look along the lines of that. However the browtines are the first thing to grow besides the beam before it and would be basically fully grown by the time you got that pic of him so there is a good chance that is the same deer having no brow not even a bump. He might look something like this next year as a 2.5 year old.
