Baiting Deer
I am wanting to get some pics with my trail camera and was just wandering what would be a good bait to lure them in close. Ive already got a mineral block out. Any other good ideas. thanks

RE: Baiting Deer
Come spring, that mineral black will do the trick. Put some deer cain or stump licke ron it and you'll be ready to go.

RE: Baiting Deer
Depends where you are located. If there no bear in your location and if you have a old fashion feed mill in your area that mixies there own feed get a 5 gallon bucket of molasses. They will be addicted forever. Might not have any teeth by fall , But they will follow you anywhere. A 5 gallon bucket will weigh around 30 LBs should cost less then 10.00. Ive seen them roll in the stuff and others lick it off. I keep 1/2 dozen buckets at the feeders all the time. And to get them started on a new type block paint the block with a corn and molasses mixture. I use just corn and 20% protein deer feed also year round. The heard went thru over 2500 lbs of corn and deer protein feed so far this winter and 600 lbs of molasses.
