I bought a 12 gun Winchester safe at Wal-Mart in January. It is rated at 1500 degrees for 90 minutes I think. The ability to hold 12 guns would be a stretch, maybe 12 single shot shotguns, but to put 12rifles/scopes in there won't work. They were marked at $775 early in the year and in Jan they dropped the price all the way to $325, I wish I have bought two or three of them. Be sure to have a heavy duty hand truck and some help if you pick it up yourself, dang things are heavy.

CANNON has the best warranty of the 800-2000.00 safes. try tractor supply or dicks sporting goods. get a firelined safe thats bigger then you need now,if you don't you'll be out room in a hurry.

I would recommend getting one larger than you need. Mine is a Granite Security, and I think it is a 39 gun safe. If I remember right it cost about 1600 dollars about 10 years ago and it works fine. Don't get the type that you have to reach up underneath and use a key. I use about 2/3 of mine for guns and the rest for important papers, coin collection, jewelry, etc.
