I don't understand the question either?
Are you REQUIRED to check it in, ifso than what you did was VERY WRONG
Here, we just call them in, there are no more check stations

This last year was the first year here in Mn that you din't have to physically bring the deer in to register, now all you have to bring is the tag.

in va you can do it3 ways, take it to a checking station or call a 1-800 number or do it on line. if you are going to
mount it,any taxidermist will require you to have a legal check tag number,if he gets caught with game in his shop without legal number they may take his license. the VDGIF was talking about doing away with checking stations altogether in the next few years.

In Iowa they recently changed the rules so that you have to phone the kill in. In MN you have to check the deer in at a check station, which is just about every convienience store in the state, but all you need is the tag not the carcass. They just want to know the sex of the animal and the time, date and location of the kill. Then they print out a transporation tag. It's not that inconvienient since you there are a lot of check stations and you don't have to haul the who carcass with you.

In bama and ga you are not required to check a deer in unless its on public land. So on my private land I shoot load and head to the house.

Depends on my state. Im Michigan I take it to the check station just to get the successful hunters patch. I mainly do it to see the deer that people are bringing in. It isn't mandatory but I always have liked checking other people's harvest out. Im Illinois it is now a phone is system. It only takes a second and I usually do it when I am warming up in the car after a long drag in.

We don't "harvest" deer. We legally kill them. We harvest corn, wheat etc.
We can't 'run' dead deer anywhere, their legs quit working when we kill them.
We don't have check instations, I've only ever been asked to stop at a game check once in 46 years of hunting.
If in CO you drive up to a game check you are required to stop and basically provide all the necessary information.
Occasionally we are asked to do an email survey of our hunting experience.
