T/C Encore Pro Hunter questions....

Well....income tax money is almost in and I'm itching for a new toy. I almost never get a Saturday off working retail, but last week was an exception. The weather was lousy, so I sat in front of the TV and watched the Outdoor Network all day.
Show after show, guys were using the T/C Pro Hunter. Now I understand that T/C has to get in their advertising and lots of those hunts may not have been with the Pro Hunter.... but it's a pretty sharp looking rifle with lots of versitility.

Does anyone have first hand experience with one as far as strength, durability, accuracy, ect.????

Also....does the stock design seem to increase or decreasefelt recoil from some of the hotter cartridges?

My local Gander Mountain has a T/C Pro Hunter with a HD Camo stock and 28" Stainless Fluted barrel in .300 Win. Mag. that's making me drool.....

Any info would be greatly appreciated

I haven't had mine long but it is a good shooter. The stock seems to take some out,i don't know about
the 50% they clam. When you shut the gun it requires a good shut which i like.

Those shows on Outdoor Channel have sold a ton of rifles for TC. If I was on there and got a free rifle to use I'd hunt with one too. TC does make a good rifle but just overpriced IMO.

My pro hunter is a mussel loader, so I don't know how they do as a rifle. Mine is very accurate though.

I don't have problems with it being a durable gun. It takes a beating with me almost every hunt.

Recoil is well managed. You know it when it goes off, but I find myself shooting in potently dangerous places (on rocks, on trees that have fell over, etc...) once I shoot it the thing doesn't cause me to fall off whatever I'm on and roll down the mountain or fall in the river. I can ever lean forward or back to get the clearest shot.

I think it's a great gun and I've recommended it to quite a few people.

It's nice to see them come with centerfire instead of muzzleloader for once, everywhere you go there muzzleloaders.

I have one in 35 whelen it shoots 1.25" groups with factory ammo probley better if i could. lol. The flex-tech stock helps with the felt recoil as it is no problem to shoot. All in all I have really liked mine.
