If you are looking for a hang on vs. a ladder stand, I like my Silverback Magnum by Gorilla stands. Its got a nice big platform and comfortable seat!

For stands that I can put up and leave on private property and where weight is not a factor, it's hard to beat the Strongbuilt you're looking at. I've got two of them on private property and they are solid, comfortable, and that shooting rail is a very nice plus. For public land where I have to take one in and out I use the Loggy Bayou Predator. It is a very large stand for its weight (11 pounds aluminum) and the seat is pretty comfortable although not as comfortable as the Strongbuilt.I also have a Gorilla aluminum version of the Silverback mentioned by someone else and it islightweight and doeshave a comfortable seat, too.

Check out the Big Game Boss XL at Cabela's and if you need a stick ladder check out the Millenium 20' sticks. The Millenium hang on's are comfortable too but relatively expensive. If you plan to bowhunt out of this stand stay away from the sling style's. Most are relatively noisy and can be tough to stand up in. If you tend to stand a lot you'll love the width of the cables at the top of the Big Game it won't pinch your legs when the seat is folded against the tree as the width of the uprights that hold the seat are wider than most stands. I prefer an expanded metal grateover bars. Price is great too at 79.00 and it has a footrest built in. The seat is huge and it comes with a 2" thick pad. If you don't plan to bowhunt out of this stand a sling seated stand like the strongbuilt are good for long sits. I don't profess to be an expert in hang ons but I do get to see and hang a lot of different models and I also get to listen to a lot of reviews of their pro's and con's.

This is a great stand. I think it won either 2007 or 2008 best of the best in Field and stream. Its spacey as well as comfortable and the quality is second to none as well.
