Tree Climbing Spurs

Hey y'all, instead of getting a climbing stand I am looking into getting a pair of climbing spurs and a tree harness rig. I tried the tree harness before and it is pretty comfy. Do you guys have any experience with tree spurs?

All your gear would have to strapped onto your back using that kind of rig when climbing and then fighting all the branches, seems kind of a hassle, would be easier to just climb up some steps or tree spikes and pull your bow or gun up.

I used to do rock climbing and I use my climbing harness in my tree stand it is comfortable but you should consider what kind of damage tree spikes will do to the tree. And it does limit the shooting possibilities (you have to move around the tree to gain good shots) this will put a strain on your legs and make unwanted noise. But good luck anyway

It would be in order to be able to not have to have a stand.

A friend of mine and I tried to secure a pulley at the top of a tree we wanted to hunt out of and have a rope already hooked up with a carabiner so we could just hook in and use the climbing harness, but it was a bit of a pain pulling yourself up and then trying to get it all stable for shooting.let me know if you use them and what you think.
