Do you use a trail camera?

Is it worth getting these? I am looking at the $100 Moultrie D40 camera. Any thoughts? Also, how long before the season starts do you put the camera out?
Thanks

I have 3 Moultries and 1 of them is the D40. For the price I may be looking at another 1. I put all mine out around May over trophy rocks.

There a blast!
Love getting results of animals when you finally get home and pop it into your computer.[8D]

A quick note...
I've noticed everytime I get a decent buck on the flash camera, it's only one picture.
I have noticed, in the snow, where a huge track has purposely avoided the camera area by a mere 15 yards.
So be careful not to educate the deer too much.

Gospel right here!! I've saw the same evidence 2 years In a row. These trail cams aren't going to shoot your deer for you, there just going to tell you what you might have In your woods from time to time. I absolutely love checking my camera!! Just like Ed said Its a blast when you get home to pop the card In the computer.

I use cameras, especially right before turkey season.
