Feeding corn in a bucket?

For this one spot I hunt at, its not close enough to throw feed out every day. So, if i put a 5 gallon bucket of corn out the day i hunt, wil the deer eat out of it? or will it spook them?

You'd have better luck throwin 10 gallons of corn on the ground a week before you hunt.
Contrary to what some folks think, deer don't smell corn and come running.
Too many things influence them such as smell, oranything out of the ordinary in their own little space.
If you want to use corn, throw a pile on the ground starting weeks before. You don't have to do it every day. Just put out enough to last a few days at a time. They'll start to drop by and see what's left as they want it.

+1

Put out 25 lbs to start with 2 weeks ahead of your hunt, Next week put 50 lbs out because they eat alot more after they know its there. Hunt anytime after that, replenish as needed. Around here that works good, really depends on the number of deer you have. I have a cousin who owns a island on a lake with a crazy high deer population, he can put out 150 lbs a day if he wants.

Another thing is not to pile it up, it will rot if it gets wet and stays that way.
