Help with Mil-Dot scope
Can you guys give me some help on sighting in a Mil-Dot scope. I bought a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 for a 22-250 and will be using the mil-dots as reference points for holdover shooting. I'm now second guessing myself for not going with a BDC or a standard crosshair. Please help me out guys, thanks.

RE: Help with Mil-Dot scope
I am shooting a Nikon Prostaff on a Rem. 700 .308 and personally I do not rely on the range compensation in the scope. I have the rifle sighted in 3" high at 100 yards, which should enable me to hit a 10" target out to over 300 yards while holding dead on target. The only thing I could recommend is to just sight the scope in at 100 yards and try to find a piece of real estate big enough to give the Mil-Dots a go to see how accurate they are. Hope you get it worked out.
