Here's a little odd racked 5 pointer I got behind my parents outside Charlottesville VA. Ony one acre behind the house. Rattled him up.

I have killed 5 (3 does, 1 BB, and a 4 pt) nothing big this year as i have been hunting public land and not seen any big bucks. I do not have any pics, because i do not own a digital camera and my fiance does not want pictures of dead deer on her camera. Although she doesn't mind me killing them and she never complains once there on her plate.[:@]

I got two and my wife got her first this year.

5-pointer, hunting with my buddy who said it was a shooter so I didn't look at the horns before taking the 200 yd shot. We didn't see the spike side til we found it just inside the woodline but I was ecstatic none the less. I also got a doe but don't have pics on the computer.

These are the next morning pics after field dressing:

And my wife's first deer, a little one taken at 80 yds with a .243, she sure was happy, as was I.

my season was crap!!! i saw 15 deer the whole year. deer numbers here in wisconsin were down this year. isaw5 deer during gun season but they were does and fork-horns and the others i saw during bow season but they were all does. it was a tough year through out the whole state. i hope its better next year

* Shot a small doe in the early archery season.
* Got a 230lb 8 pointer on Oct 25 that grossed over P&Y but netted under due to deductions. (pic attached)
* Got a 135lb doe in rifle season.

Taken in PA. The two biggest in the big woods of northern PA.

I only got a doe this season, she dressed out at 128lbs.

My cousin got this really big 8 pointer! 215 dressed, I think it grossed just shy of 140".

tell the story about your guys hunts!
We were up for a work party weekend on the weekend of October 25th. It was raining cats and dogs. However, the weekend before I saw a lot of bucks and saw some rutting activity. I decided that, if we finished work early, I was going to put on rain gear and tough it out for a while.

Nothing was moving so I decided to sneak around with the rain to quiet my steps. I sneak up to the edge of a hayfield and see a bunch of does being followed by a really nice buck. I try calling and he seems interested. Then, one of the does busts me. They all take off snorting. The buck doesn't know anything is up, but decides to follow the doe anyway.

I decide to head in. As there is abot 20 minutes left of legal quitting time, I decide to try one more rattling sequence before quitting. With in a minute of putting down the antlers, I see a deer coming. It has a big body so I grab the bow and get ready. I see a high rack so I draw. I'm on the ground so he sees me. He stops and looks at me. Then I see the 23" wide rack. I place the pin on his chest and fire.

I'm sure I hit him, but the light is poor and the woods is like a lake. We can't find any blood. We go back and watch the Phillies win another game in the world series and then head out 7:00am the next morning. I bring my little mutt dog who is great at recovering deer. After having no luck searching much further than we should have,we head back towards the truck. On the way in, I can't get my dog to come to me. Yep, he's standing by the buck. It only went about 100 yards.

The end result was this:

I had the best season of my life. Killed my best buck, and first bowkill. Saw the most deer I ever have, and learned the most.
