Left by Right vs Total Points
 

I guess this is just a personal preference thing but I gotta know.
When I hear reports of bucks being shot and hear 8 pointer, I just get confused... I know what i means, but was it 4x4, 5x3, etc... and I have shot both of those so I am just using personal references here. I just want us all to be on the same page.

Which to you prefer and lets here why.

It depends if your doing a eastern count or western count. Most people use the total points but the western count uses the side/side.

If you want to give someone a good description of the antlers,use left and right,if you want the antlers to sound larger than they really are,use total points.
