What happened to this deer????

What happened to this deer????
I cropped in on this so that you could see the hole in this deer. It was so close to the camera I don't know if it is a buck or doe but it has either been shot with a bow/gun or stuck with an antler. What do you all think. I have talked with all my neighbors and none of them shot a deer that got away. Hopefully I will get another picture of it.

When was this picture taken?The deerlooks pretty red for this time of year. If it was early in the year, it probably wasn't an antler injury. More than likely an arrow.

What state was this in? As it could of been made by a bobcat or even a bear if it was close enough to one of them..Maybe this was from the PA mountain lion.. LOL
