Buck or Doe what would you shoot?
 

If your state only allowed you to shoot a buck or a doe, and you had to purchase the tag for that sex animalbefore the season which would you buy? Only 1 deer per year. Not per season (bow, gun, etc)

Doe for the for sure meat opportunity, then I would go to IN for a buck!

Buck because you get the meat and antlers. Nothing wrong with a doe but their "rack" is in the wrong place.:D:D:D

I'd rotate it. Doe one year and buck the next. I chose doe because I would shoot one of them first to get meat in the freezer and taking does helps control the herd.

i will shoot a doe any day of the week sure i would take a buck but if i had to choose at the beginning of the season i would for sure choose a doe, and probably switch off every other year after that

I would choose a buck, because I like to hunt for a nice one every year. I love the challenge. I can always buy meat if I didn't get one, or hunt in a different state. I hunt 2 states anyhow each year.

That said, I am glad its not that way. I actually have too many tags available, and stillonly end up shooting a buck every few years (by choice). I shoot lots of does, that is my meat supply each year usually.

I would shoot any good size deer heck I only can shoot one buck per year in Indiana but shoot up to three doe. I think an young doe tast better anyways.
