Baiting is for those that suck at hunting.
Wow, kind of harsh. I hunt in Michigan and this year was different than most. With the baiting band, we did not bait but knew that some of the neighbors would be. Usually out of one of the stands we see 20 or so deer opening day. This year 2. If people around you bait, it is almost a neccesity that you need to because deer will being going to the feed. Anybody on here that says another hunter sucks when he is abiding by the laws has to have other issues or is 12. Do what it legal and have fun while your doing it.

Just because something is legal, doesn't make it ethical. That's thedifference between those who believe in fair chase, and those whodon't. You schmucks will stop at nothingto shoot anything and brag about it.The original poster said it all with the title of this thread. " i bait andam not ashamed about it ". Think about it genius, the reason he started the thread is because somewhere in his little brain he had five minutes of conscience thought and second guessed his actions. So he gets on here and tries to find enough people to make himself feel better and justifyhis"method". Then you throw the "if its legal, then do it" BS. There are plenty of things one can do within the law that are consideredwrong, just watch the news on occasion and you'll see plenty.

Just becauseyou and I maypartake ina similaroutdoor activity, doesnt make us "fellow hunters" either.

I bait too. Where I hunt, baiting is almost the only hope you have, unless you like staring at empty woods.

Hmm, this is starting to get ugly, hunters versus hunters. Guys, if someone wants to hunt over bait and it's legal, just let it alone. There is no need in name calling. You have your way of hunting and they have theirs, and regardless of what you call it,either way, it's calledhunting.

Well, I was going to re-post a picture of one of your "world class" bucks, but I stopped myself. First, your kid too cute to be used in a ridiculous internet argument. Second, if you consider those world class, then I'm not going to argue with your pride. I'll bow out of this one. Got a little girl of my own and #2 on the way. It takes a real man to be a "Girl Daddy"...

Argue with you about something else, another time. I'm a softy when it comes to kids....

Merry Christmas

I like to knock a few does down off the food plots for the freezer well before the rut starts. Once thats done I'm thru with the plots. I want to assure myself of venison before I think about a rack. I enjoy both.

For folks who bait. Why not save your money used for baiting and get a fenced hunt? You can get a 100% guarantee for deer both ways. One way you are ensured a big rack buck. The other, just a deer could be does, could be buck.

All kidding aside now.. IMO. If it is legal, go ahead. I will not judge anyone for doing it. It is also my opinion that there is less skill involved in hunting with that method and it does not appeal to me. If it were legal in my area, I would not do it. That is just me.

Enjoy staring at that pile of corn for hours and enjoy telling the story about how the buck came right into the corn and then I shot him. I'll tell the story about how I saw nothing all day...[:@]
