Default Your Opinion .270

i'm looking for a new deer rifle (.270 would be best) and i'm on a budget, so i came across the H&R Synthetic Handi Rifle. Any input on this gun would be great!

Savage .270 model. I have shot all the name brands and will shoot this gun next to any of them and probably get a better group out to 300 yrds.

The .270 is a good choice, I just don't have any use for it. The Handi Rifle is also a good choice, it has very good accuracy, if you want just one shot!
I chose to go to a single shot rifle, but chose a .243!
The Handi Rifle is small and light, depending on your recoil preferences, the .270 could be a little stiff. Good luck!

I bought my son one in .243 - great deer rifle! I've hunted with it several times.

very good deer cal. although Ive not owned one personally. I did own the gun in 20 ga USH once. Very good gun for the $$$ . I macked on it and didnt clean or dry it after wet and cold conditions and it never rusted or malfunctioned all season. I sold it after the season but Im sure its serving someone well now.

I don't have any personal experience in the .270, but I did have the .243. It performed fairly well with all ammo except Hornady Light Magnums.
Personally if it were me I would look at one of the Savages. You should be able to find one easy in your price range.

Handi Rifle is a good gun but with a $400 dollar budget u can really do alot. I just bought my gf a Remington 700 .243 for $400 and they had a .270 setting beside it for they same price, so look around.

.270 is a good gun yea but in my eyes...and remember this is in MY EYES...i think there a bit overated. But dont get me wrong they work awfully well especially for whitetails. But if i were u and had the money to get another then wuldnt be hesitant a bit....try looking into like a 300 win. mag., 30-06, 25-06, 7mm 08 or hell the 30-30 and 243 work well to.
