Son killed his first (two!) deer
My son Alex and I went to my Father-in-laws farm on Saturday. I went to the east stand and he went to the west stand. We were in our stands no more than one hour when I looked over and saw a deer coming right to my stand. It stopped directly in front of me then proceeded to try to sniff me out. Fortunately,another deer ran down the trail to "catch up". It pushed the first deer a little further down the trail. Both deer were on a beeline to Alex's stand. I called him on the radio and gave him a heads-up. About 5 - 10 minutes later I heard him shoot. Then I heard him shoot again about 30 seconds later. He called me on the radio and informed me that he got both deer!
So...his second year turkey hunting, he gets two turkeys for his first turkey kill. Now, in his second year deer hunting, he takes two deer for his first deer kill! I wish I had that kind of luck!!
