How to use deer tracks better

I saw a few recent, within minutes or hours deer tracks in the snow yesterday, but I wasn't sure how to make the best use of them for stalk hunting. How do you use deer tracks when stalk hunting?

as said before follow the point of the hoof. and walk extremely careful. there is a good chance you will catch them beded down somewhere. This happened to me earlier in the season, I had a buddy follow the tracks while I swept an arc of the property and we ended up kicking up 3 does beded down by a marsh.

Unless it is freshly fallen snow, you have little chance of stalking a deer because of the noise from the snow cracking. Having said that, if it is still snowing and the tracks look sharp, they are very fresh and you might have some luck. Just keep looking ahead as far and as carefully as you can.
