Remington Core-Lokt

RE: Remington Core-Lokt
one's pointier(=slightly better ballistic coeffecient,) no real difference, unless you are throwing them past 400yds or so. Also maybe the regular soft points are OK to use in lever rifles(tubular mags)?

Try clicking "all forums" at the top of the page to get to the main page, and look all the way near the bottom of the page where it says new messages. If that dont get it send me a pm and I will try to figure it out.

RE: Remington Core-Lokt
I currently use the 180 grain PSP's in my .30-06. I really like the performance of them. They grouped well for me out to 300 yards and from what I can tell, they expand pretty well. I bang/flopped this doe at 200 yards. I couldn't see the entrance wound but you can see the exit wound in the pic. The lungs were mush and there was a 3" hole in both sides of the rib cage. I couldn't find any fragments.

RE: Remington Core-Lokt
I have hunted with Corelokts over the years when I shot factory ammo, and I have killed several deer and hogs with them since I started reloading.
In my opinion, the Corelokt "bullet" is the best on the market for the money. I have killed 5 deer with 120 grainers in my 6.5x55 this season, and all but one bounced after being hit. The one that didn't drop only went about 5 steps. |
