best way to take hide off horns
hey guys, happy early holidays. hope all is well.
wondering how to best take off deer hide on my antlers? ive let them dry out for a week now. anyhow, thanks. |

Boil them, or bury them for while.

Don't let the hide dry. It's easiest when the hide is soft/somewhat fresh, and just cut it off with knife.

yup..
mine, took cut off horns and boiled in water for about 30 mins. Not the antlers but plate ! let it cool down over night and went to cutting away.. may even clean plate with clorox & water mix, after skinned (plate only.. not horns or base).. |

cut it off right away its twice as easy.

Boil for an hour no more than hour and a half,do not let the actual antler itself be in the water. Take them immediately to your local carwash and it will all come off by pressure washing it

vise, flat screwdriver, small mallet. trust me!

is it justa cap or the enitre skull? skull boil. cap just peel and pry

Boil it and rip it off with your hands. Done in 3 minutes.
