I wouldn't eat it. And is it legal to kill 3 deer in a day?

coyote bait right there. so the meat won't go to a complete waste.

Mercy killing there, and it wouldn't be outside the lines of good judgment to let a DNR officer or local wildlife biologist get a look see at her if its not too late. And +1 on the don't eat the meat, figure that goes without saying. I wouldn't have even "skun" her myself ;)

Yes, in a lot of states. In theory, I could shoot 7 in one day. Of course I cant remember the last time that I saw 7 deer in one day, but if I had the tags, it would be legit.

correct in the county i was in it is unlimited doe, and 2 buck, with each weapon, bow, gun , ml,

yes i tossed that meat to the yotes, sadest thing i had to do in a while, but i cant take the risk of letting the family eat that meat

you might have wanted to take it to your dnr first and showed them-it could've had cwd or something. it's spreading(luckily not up here in nw ohio - yet)at an alarming rate in more and more areas.

Concur with letting DNR know and not wasting a tag on it.
BTW, only 100 lb does? Where you hunting? By now, here in central Iowa, the first year fawns are weighing in at 125. Aaaah, the joys of corn fed venison.
I saw 3 today when I was out changing the card in my game camera. A real nice doe that would weigh in about 160 I'd guess, with her two fawns trailing, easily at 125 each. Unfortunately, first shotgun season doesn't open until tomorrow.

Sounds like some sort of flu like symptoms. More than likely not CWD which is not really shown to be spreading due to, eradication of deer herds, containment efforts. I personally would have done the same thing except i would have informed the dnr so they could do some testing if they wanted to.
