you might have wanted to take it to your dnr first and showed them-it could've had cwd or something. it's spreading(luckily not up here in nw ohio - yet)at an alarming rate in more and more areas.

Concur with letting DNR know and not wasting a tag on it.
BTW, only 100 lb does? Where you hunting? By now, here in central Iowa, the first year fawns are weighing in at 125. Aaaah, the joys of corn fed venison.
I saw 3 today when I was out changing the card in my game camera. A real nice doe that would weigh in about 160 I'd guess, with her two fawns trailing, easily at 125 each. Unfortunately, first shotgun season doesn't open until tomorrow.

Sounds like some sort of flu like symptoms. More than likely not CWD which is not really shown to be spreading due to, eradication of deer herds, containment efforts. I personally would have done the same thing except i would have informed the dnr so they could do some testing if they wanted to.
