without seeing a pic and going just by the sounds your saying its making it's more than likely a bobcat.... bobcats are very loud cats. if it is a cougar and it could very well be.... it's most likely a female in heat.... if you don't get it out now you might have some kittens in the future if there is a male anywhere around. if it is a female cougar then you'll proly get a male too cuz most cougar sightings are of males.... bachelor males roaming around looking for food, females, and shelter.

Could just very well be a bobcat. They are louder than what you think.
I agree, if you have a bobcat yell behind you it will feel like your spine is splitting and your gettin ready to piss your pants. The only thing is big cats have a big range, so they chance of seeing it or hearing it often is slim.

Thank you so very much for posting the pic for me. I watched this site for a long time, and learned alot from you guys, but never took time to join, this gave me a reason. To give you an up date, not a yote, bobcat, or k9 of any kind. Mr. Charles Sharp, supervising wildlife biologist in Daphne alabama looked at the photo today and took it very serious. He has agreed that it is a large cat, and has contacted a non-game biologist to research it ASAP. Thought is that someone had it as a pet and it got away/turned out. if you zoom in on the photo spot pattern is very clear, and follow the tail and see it curve back just behind the animial. All of my hunting video in this location showed the same reaction for all deer prior to being shot, (with a bow). Deer on this property watched where they walked as to avoid making noise, and looked around in trees and gave all tall grass a bearth. Deer are never calm and jump if the wind blows.
