Hey thanks everyone for the guesses. This deer was killed incentral Oklahoma. We had hunted this place for four years and had seenonly does andone small buck. So this year, weplanteda food plot and put out some corn feeders and got a trail cam pic of a nice 125" buck.So this gave us some hope. So I bowhunted it hard in bow season and was lucky enough to harvest two does off of it. But was yet to see a decent buck.I took a trip towestern oklahoma and was lucky enough to take a niceseven point.My brother still had his buck tag though. So then on wednesday on our thanksgiving breaks we thought we would just run over to this place and hopefully be luckyenough to harvest a doe. Well we thought we would just go sit on the groundon thishill and watch my feeder. Well at about seven thirtyI looked to the east and sawhorns, big ones. SoI got my brothers attention and BOOM, he dropped himin his tracks. Never in a million yearswouldI have expected for us to harvest a nice buckon this place but i guesse it just goes to show that you never knowwhat will step out. We ended running a tape on him and came up with 146" gross score. I was so happy for him.

Nice buck no matter the score. I have 10 or so nice racks on my wall and have scored none of them. Keep thinking about getting around to it and am always asked what they score, but just have never done it. Unless you are trying to put one in the books, no point, a nice buck is a nice buck. Also you can't score for character of the horns, and the hunt behind it, and that has always had more appeal to me than anything else.
