i thought of a way to make reloading your muzzeloader faster, thought it might help.
measure your powder to the amount of grains ya want and get some pennie rolls. tape the bottom of it with scotch tape, pour your desired amount in to it and tape the top leaving the end of the tape to stick to it self for easier opening. this way you have the same amount for every reload and you can keep your accuracy the same. it worked for me.
i filled 6 pennies rolls with 90 grains of powder and put them in a BC asprin pack then keep it in a zip lock bag to keep out the moisture.

It's actually been done for a while...

The French called it cartridge...Sound familiar?...They were making cartridges in the 1700s...During the American Revolution the cartridge boxes held 25 cartridges of powder and ball...

I prefer 35mm camera film containers because they are air and watertight. When I got my Savage 10ML-II I no longer needed that much space for powder, so I bought a few dozen little plastic screw-top vials from Randy Wakeman that hold up to about 60gr of smokeless powder and are the perfect size for dumping into the muzzle.

Not exactly a new idea, but a good one nonetheless.

They make commercial speed loaders that hold the powder, projectile and a percussion cap. Might be a little easier then penny rolls and tape although its a novel idea.

I have been blackpwder hunting (the only gun I use in gun season) for 25 years. They had plastic speedloaders that held my 90grains of pwder and a lubed maxiball back then. Today my speedshells are a little larger to accomodate 3 pellets and 45 cal xtp in a sabot. This allows me to fire, get speed shell out of pocket, load gun (15ft up a tree), cap the gun a fire a second shot in under 30 seconds (I have only had to do that once).
