What bow to start a 6 year old with?
 
My son will be six soon and wants a bow. I was wanting input on what he should start off with.

i started my son on a Mini Gensise or if that is to small for him try a gensise (not sure on spelling). My son was 5 /6 when he got the Mini Gensise, but he isa little guy

I wouldn't spend much on a starter bow for a 6 yo since you will probably have to upgrade pretty soon.

wow..yalls kids are either very strong or im realy weak im 13 and I cant pull back any compound bow for the life of me...Im working on it though......Im a chick so I guess its harder

diamond edge. you can buy new limbs for it as his draw weight increases.

Martin just came out with a youth bow, looks really nice, and has a wide range of draw weight and length. I just looked at it, its called a martin Tiger. Check it out!

For a 6 year old , that will be tuff. they need somthing light enough to pull back . The Genesis is adjustable and might work for him

For a 6 year old I don't suggest anything expensive. They won't take care of it any better than any toy. It will get dropped etc. Look for very light bows. I have seen these at several sporting goods stores as well as walmart etc. Just something that will fling and arrow untill they get older.

If you can wait look at yard sales this spring. I usualy see a few every once in a while.
