11-87 Barrel
 

I was going to buy the remington 11-87 super magnum tomorrow due to the great pricing. I was wondering if the 11-87 slug barrel will fit on that gun?

If I'm understanding this correctly,the 11-87 supermag is a 3 1/2" shotgun and the barrel you're asking about is 3". The answer is NO it won't fit. You have to match them up-if you've got a 3 1/2" gun,you'll need a 3 1/2" chambered barrel-not that you have to shoot 3 1/2" shells out of it,just so that it will fit in reciever correctly(different length).

Yeah I read up on it and i guess they sell a deer barrel for it but its the super magnum barrel

Yes, you can use that barrel. The 11-87 Super Mag comes with a smooth bore barrel that's chambered for 2 3/4" - 3 1/2" shells. It's just the barrel that's chambered for those shells, not the receiver. If you buy the fully rifled slug barrel that's chambered for 3" shells, it will fit just fine but you'll only be able to use up to 3" shells.
