Does anyoen have any suggestions on a new 12 gauge pump or semi-auto shotgun, for a decent price?

If you want a pump,go with the browning bps or remington 870. In semiauto, the cheapest 1 that's good is the stroger 2000 works really well. So well in fact,it suprized the heck out of us as good as it handles and shoots.

The Browning BPS is a great pump shotgun, and I regret having to sell the one I had (hard times). If I were in the market for another pump shotgun, the BPS would be my first choice.
My wife gave me a Stoeger 2000 for my b-day, and it's a very good shotgun for a very reasonable price (about the same as a mid-range pump shotgun). Mine cycles everything I've fed it flawlessly, it's lightweight, it fits and points very well and patterns good. It also comes with five chokes (Cyl, IC, Mod, Full, Extended XF turkey), so right out of the box you've got what you need to hunt just about anything you want with it. Mine's the black synthetic version with a standard stock, but you can get it in wood or in two different camo dip patterns, and you can get a pistol-grip stock in both black and camo if you want. It's all the shotgun I'll ever need for any of the hunting or shooting I do.

I love my 1100 and my 11/87 SP and I only got the SP because the cantilever barrel was set up for a nice piece of glass. I didn't even mind that the old 1100 was a smoothbore. With rifle sights it shot great with the 1 oz remington sluggers which are only a couple bucks a box. Buy premium rounds and your talking much bigger money!
Either a mossberg or 870 if your not worried about adding glass and the combo's are a pretty good deal. I really don't know if the Mossberg takes screw in chokes but that might be a consideration.

I have a Remington 870 Express Super Magnum and it's okay. I've had a lot of issues with it jamming but I seem to be the oddball there as most seem to not have these issues. I like it okay but honestly after having a pump I really wish I had gone with a semi auto. Infact the only reason I went with the pump is a buddy has a Remington 11-87 and I didn't like how much it jammed so the gun shop talked me into a pump telling me how it wouldn't jam as much. Well, turns out it jams more than his does and it is still a pump. Knowing what I know now I wish I had just gotten the auto. I like his 11-87 but he also has a 1100 that I like much much better. I think if I was to get a new one I'd either want a Remington 1100 or a Benelli Super Black Eagle.

looks like i am OUTNUMBERED on my pick,870 rem wins hands down.
but, after i put a BERETTA URICKA FIELD 28 INCH in my hands, no way i am going back.
i sold 5 shotguns and used most of money to get my BERETTAand 1 was a 870 rem, other was 11-87 which was too heavy for me anymore.

Don't worry about it-I was too. My personal choice that I actually own/shoot is benelli but berettas are darn good too.
