1 oz Sluggers /W fully rifled 11-87 ???
Is accurracy the only possible drawback to shooting 1 oz rifled Rem sluggers thru a fully rifled 11-87 SP.
I usually use 1 oz Rem copper solids or other premium rounds but thought I would "TRY" the sluggers because I have a half dz boxes. Not sure of the twist direction on the slugs but I am guessing the barrel is a right hand turn??

You'll have a ton of guys say you can't do it but you can. There will be a lot of lead buildup in your barrel but it can be cleaned out. I used Remington Sluggers in my 1187 with the Remington rifled cantilever scope mount barrel and took two deer with it three years ago. One at 124 yards and the other about 127. Practice, Practice, Practice!

sjs.. I would rather clean the barrel than pay $15.00 plus for "premium" slugs and I have never shot a deer with the shotgun past 60 yards anyway.
The gun is sighted in for Federals with the Barnes Expanders right now but If I can shoot sluggers I'm gonna try.
