Well after a lousy year last year for dear in our area, it was a lot better this year. Last year I only seen 1 shooter all season long, bloodcrick and chipper1 can feel my pain. Our area was hit with EHD and we lost a lot of deer. This year I was in an area with 3 big boys, 1 I only would see at night spotlighting, the other only 2 times and this one I seen 4 times but had him patterned. He would come the edge of a picked bean field and wait till dark and then come out into the field. Twice during achery he was out of range then once during opening weekend of gun he came out but it was too dark. This Sunday night it was more of the same, I seen him coming thru the woods, came up to the edge of the field and just stood there waiting for darkness. But this time I had enough light and a gun!
