How many acers?

RE: How many acers?
I hunt on 1100 acres right now, its privately owned by my family. Are you asking if there should be a limit on how much land someone can own? In that case I'd say as many acres as you want. If you have the money to own thousands upon thousands of acres, I say go for it.

I'm gonna go with okcaveman, what's the minimum you can productively hunt. In that case, the answer is >5 because if you have a couple acres in just the right spot then it could produce something for you. I know guys with 20 acres or less right next to conservation ground or large acres of non-hunted ground and they do very well.

RE: How many acers?
As per the usual answer to this question it all depends on the type of land, the terrain, and one's style of hunting. I have one 19 acre tract that is entirely wooded andvery hilly. Three people could probably bow hunt it without even knowing knowing the others were there. It could easily handle two hunters during gun season. On the other hand I have another ten acre piece that is flat without as much cover. It can barely handleone person on it for either bow or gun.
