RE: How many acers?
I have shot deer on properties that are less then 2 acres, and yes one of them was a 150" deer, granted this was in the suburbs.
I have permission on a farm that is 700acres, but my dads place at just over a 100 acres probably has 3 times the population and twice as many shooters.

RE: How many acers?
My main spot is 12.5 acres. Unfortunatly much of it is unhuntable. Probably less than half of it is huntable. I hunt in two man spots on it. but I could hang a buch of stands (you'd just be able to see the next one)
It all depends on the land. A peice 5 acres or smaller with woods and the proper terain ...you'll see deer. Get a peice that is 20 or 200 acres and the wrong terrain and you may never see much.
If there is food around and cover too your gonna see them. That is it more than the land you own. Of course it doesn't hurt to have more as it gives you more options for stand sites.
