Same thing my father has been running into.

Thoughts - We beleive the doe have been bred and the bucks are hanging out in the woods wit them.

When the does come back out of hiding, the bucks should follow. Hold tight, should happen any day now.

Has there been alot of crops being cut? If so, that may be pushing them around or they may be moving to cover or a better food source. It'll get back to normal. Give it time.

Same here in Orange County, NY. During bow season I was seeing a ton of deer every day, lots of bucks. In the past week I've seen 4 does.

I guess I'm not the only one. During bow season I also saw deer almost every single sit. Sometimes it would be 8-10 deer. Since Gun season opened Ive seen 3 deer in 5 hunts. Could be a number of things. The bucks mightstillhave the doeson lockdown, foodsources may have appeared for them, like when the farmer's finally cut their feed corn (which is my problem right now), and also the pressure of gun season. Hopefully it gets better, Im looking forward to late archery season. I'll be off for 3 weeks!

Ok, I'm glad to hear someone else say this.

During bow season and the first week of muzzleloader season, I saw at least 5 deer each sit. Some hunts I saw up to 10. (Thats good for around here because I am hunting the most heavily hunted county in Virginia). Now, I haven't seen but one deer in 5 sits. I'm hoping this week will turn out better for me.
