Same here in Arkansas, are gun season opened the 12th and I took the first week of the season off, saw nothing button bucks and spikes and 4pts. It was really a bad week of hunting. Last sunday I took a 15 inch 8pt, thats the first decient buck that I have seen since the season opened. I have been hunting several different stand locations and i have pics of some really nice bucks on my game cams, but they have been making themselves scarce to me this year. I'm kinda at a loss about where and how to hunt them now.

not exactly when mossbergman11 went hutning with me last wensday we saw 1 buck and 8 does you guys must have some poor location or something

I think it is the phase of the rut here in IL. Has wound down here...everyone is having the same results on their hunts. Not many deer and very little rut action. Just hoping that the second rut comes on strong!

same thing is going on in here in mississippi. I saw all kind of deer during bowseason but now that its gun season I haven't seen the first deer.The only difference is that our rut is usually between Dec. 15-30.
